Dr. Yurik is a fully licensed psychologist who has been in practice for over 25 years. She has been committed to helping her clients lead more productive and emotionally healthy lives by providing a highly supportive environment to explore concerns and develop adaptive coping behaviors.

During her career, Dr. Yurik has worked in private practice and as a school psychologist. She has consulted and worked with adolescents, and adults on various issues. Her primary specialty is working with adult, young adult, and adolescent women. Clinical issues include anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive issues, and issues involving loss and transition (i.e. divorce, grief, college transition). 

Dr. Yurik's primary training is in cognitive behavior treatment, although she employs a flexible and client-centered approach. She received her Doctorate degree in Educational/Clinical Psychology (1995) from Wayne State University with a Master's Degree in School and Community Psychology from Wayne State University. Dr. Yurik received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. As part of her training, Dr. Yurik completed her practicum at Children's Hospital, Detroit, Michigan, and her internship at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Pontiac, Michigan.
